Ranch Trip - Deer / hog hunt

Another weekend at the ranch. Early in deer season and of course hogs are always in season.



Here is a pretty good size wild hog at the deer feeder.





He didn't fare so well after some deer corn.


Here are some turkey (look hard) running from the truck as I made a turn.


Here is a small 6 point buck looking back over his shoulder.

Here is my brother, standing over a blind porcupine. We let the poor guy go on his way.

Here I am in the make-shift ground blind. It was a little chilly.

Ranch Trip - Chris Halpin hog hunt

We made another trip out to our family ranch near Abilene. This time my buddy from Dallas, Chris Halpin joined me. We were feeling bloody and wild hogs were in our sights.

Chris is helping feed some of the cattle.

This is a bee hive in one of the old abandoned buildings. The dark part are the bees on the honeycomb. We had to be very quiet while taking this pic.
