This is a picture of both sets of grandparents, the Poteet's on the left and the Pearson's on the right. This was prior to the birth of Avery. The Poteet's drove in from Lubbock and the Pearson's from Midland.

Here is the new mom and daughter, just minutes old.
Of course the father and daughter.
Grandmother Pearson (Sue).
Here is one of Avery's aunts, Kim Waugh (Pearson).
Here is one of our friends and fellow Aggies, Chris Halpin with his Class of 2030 Aggie Will (4 months old).
Here is Kristi and Avery with one of Kristi's best friends, Kelli. Kelli and her husband Jimbo (who we run around with in Dallas), had their baby the exact same day, same doctor, same hospital and same weight. What are the odds? The difference was that theirs was a boy. His name is Preston James McKnight. Notice the two Texas A&M knit hats.
Father and daughter..
One of Kristi's friends, Deanna, drove from Ft. Worth to see Avery.
Here are two more friends of Kristi's, Emily and Heather, greeting Avery.

We are heading home from the hospital. Of course, Kristi demanded to sit in the back with Avery and I played chauffer while listening to Van Halen's "The Cradle Will Rock"!!

Staged photo prior to heading home.

Avery seemed content in the blanket that her great-grandmother Jo made. Great-grandmother Jo is 94 and will meet Avery in Lubbock in late March.

This is the arrival home from the hospital. In true Dallas fashion, it was 82 degrees in early February. It was only 42 a couple of days prior.
Avery takes up residence in her own nursery. Many days / nights will be spent there.
Avery enjoys the changing table and shows us that she has some growing in order to fit into the pajamas...

Avery must be content since she soon fell asleep and had to be woken just to feed.

Finally, at some point in her life, I'll break the news to Avery that she was named after a beer brewery in Boulder Colorado. I had to get a picture of the bottles.
Of course, the last entry was a joke. We came up with the name first and then found the beer at Central Market......and a set of office labels....
